I went to Lucky Hammock and the Annex this morning and saw Tricia and her sister. There was also a couple from PA birding their way down to Key West where they are going to the Tortugas with Larry. Anne and Charles got some good looks at some good birds and even a lifer.

Lucky Hammock was fairly quiet. There were many Catbirds, Cardinals and 2 Black Whiskered and one Red-eyed Vireo. I saw a couple of warblers also; Prairie, Common Yellow-throat and Black and White. I heard what could have been the La Sagra's, but it didn't come out for us to see. A Bobwhite was heard across the street from Luck Hammock also.

At the Annex there were more Black Whiskered Vireo, a Barred Owl on a low open perch, Blackpoll Warbler, Prairie, Cape May, Magnolia, Palm, Yellow Breasted Chat, White-eyed Vireo, Yellow-throated Vireo, Blue-headed Vireo, Painted Bunting, Indigo Bunting and more Catbirds.

It was worth the trip and as picked up a couple of year birds.
