I went to AD Barnes this morning with my brother (Had no idea that the TAS Birdwalk was today, did see the group from afar). The park was dead but did see raccoons, cats and nothing really spectacular:
Rooster
Muscovy Duck
Starlings
Catbird
Cardinal
Red-Winged Blackbird
Guinea Hen (a lifer??)
Osprey
Mockingbird
Mourning Dove
Collared Dove
White Ibis
Decided to try Baptist Hospital afterwards but only added:
Snowy Egret
Fish Crows
Boat-Tailed Grackle
Rock Dove (Blue-Bar :o)
Monk Parakeets
Then headed to the Conservation Area of MDC Kendall and added:
Purple Martin
Ring-Billed Gull
DC Cormorant
Coot
Prairie Warbler (finally, a warbler!)
Yellow-Chevroned Parakeet
There were tons of Catbirds, very bold and out in the open also.
Swung by Indian Hammock before heading home and saw
Loggerhead Shrike and the bird of the day, a lifer,
Broad-Winged Hawk (immature) by the Dump Area of the Park. Started out as an uneventful day but ended with a lifer, maybe 2 (Guinea Hen, which I have seen as domestic, but never feral).
