I was at Lucky before sunrise and looked for the flycatcher this morning. I didn't see the La Sagra's but I did hear a "wh-it.... wh-it" call several times coming from within the hammock. At Luck Hammock I saw:

Yellow-breasted Chat
Prairie
Parula
Black and White
White-eyed Vireo
Common Yellow-throat
and lots of Gray Catbirds

I went to the annex after looking at Lucky and found:

4-5 Great Crested Flycatchers
Yellow-breasted Chat
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May
Prairie
Common Yellow-throat
Blue-headed Vireo
Scarlet Tanager (male)
Orchard Oriole
Yellow-billed Cuckoo

I wish I could have seen the Flycatcher again today, but I didn t have enough time to look really well. I am confident in what I saw and believe it is a La Sagra s Flycatcher. I understand those who have doubts because of the poor photos, but there is nothing in the photos that say it isn t a La Sagra s and the things that are missing I saw with my own eyes using my binoculars. I hope that I am able to see it again in the next couple of days or someone else is able to see. It will make me feel better about making the ID call on such a good bird.
Good luck if you try, at least there are a lot of other birds to see if you don t see the La Sagra s.
