Palm Beach- Lion Country Safari campground

Spent the weekend camping with my daughter and her Brownie troop at Lion Country Safari in PB County. On arrival, I had my FOTS Chimney Swifts. The pineland campground itself had, inter alia, Pileated, Downy, and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Great Crested Flycatcher, Carolina Wren, Swallow-tailed Kite. The biggest surprise was a calling Whip-poor-will deep in the pineland on Friday night (well, actually Saturday morning about 2 am). The girls were far more impressed with Black Racer and Curly-tailed Lizards, although they also liked the good looks we had at the Pileated.....
