We started the morning off right and stopped at Cutler Wetlands where Julie spotted a Sora right away and then found the Snow Goose still asleep.
The Sora was across the road from the no dumping sign and directly in front of the witches hat and stuffed animals.(At least they weren't dumped under the sign ).
I then ambled over to ENP where I took up my usual position and waited for the Kites to show. As has been the case this year, my "golden" spot was a dud-I did have a high flyover of 3 birds but they were hunting.
BTW , thanks to Trey and A&M for the sacrifice yesterday-it paid off twice after you left.
Frustrated and sunburned, I headed home to find a jaunty Brown Thrasher under the bird feeders.Hopefully it is going to nest again in my loquat tree.
EagleEye mentioned that she had heard birds moving around last night so she went to have a looksee at our Owl Box which has been housing a Starling recently.Looks like the starling has been evicted :)
