On April 13, 2003 I launched my canoe at Flamingo Marina, headed east(low to middle tide) and paddled out to Christian Point where I spotted a pair of Greater flamingoes; one adult in bright pink plummage, the other a juvenile in its mostly grey (with a little pink)plummage. Very beautiful feeding among the hundreds of white pelicans and roseate spoonbills.
