And the tree is about 75 feet south of a large Gumbo Limbo with Red shouldered hawks doing what comes naturally. With all this commotion you can't miss the woodpecker nest.

And unlike some cranky homeowners in Hollywood you are allowed to walk on the lawn...since in a manner of speaking you do own it.

By the way, the Red-shouldered hawk nest is in the parking lot east of the pileated nest, just a tad bit south of the osprey nest and in the vicinity of many Geat Crested Flycatchers. You can't miss it. Just look for the white-eyed vireo.

You can "capture" a lot of birds at this one spot so bring lots of memory chips.
