Had 5 Red-breasted Mergansers on our small west Miramar lake today. It was my 62nd yard species since we moved here in 2004. A Snowy Egret and a Tricolored Heron accompanied them as they fished along the shoreline. I got several photos depicting their fishing style. Not sure of sex, as they were in non-breeding plumage. Can anyone tell me?
My site server has been loading slowly, so keep trying and it usually connects one out of three.
