Perhaps you can contact the Turkey Vulture Society at http://www.accutek.com/vulture/. They claim to be "An international non-profit (501(c)(3)) corporation for the scientific study of the Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura), and a Universal collection point and Central Library for published papers, reports, news items, and other information related to the vulture."
