This Saturday Mariel and I saw about 5 Spoonbills @ Mrazek Pond, and then about another 5-8 Spoonbills @ Paurotis Pond. After we left ENP we headed over to Cutler Wetlands to check out the Avocet that is in breeding plumage Toe reported. At the wetlands we were greeted by four Spoonbills near the Apartments and really close to shore giving us great looks and Photo Opp. Three of the Spoonbills were light in coloration but one looked like cotton candy pink. Beautiful!!! We have seen as many as 11 Spoonbills flying over the wetlands before, 2 of the birds were banded. I am checking the photos closely in order to get the band numbers and letters to report them to Spoonbill researchers.

Good luck if you are looking for Spoonbills.

Nature is Awesome
