I've never seen Everglades NP water level so low.

I went down to Everglades NP on Wednesday and started at Anhinga Trail which was VERY quiet for wading birds. I proceeded down to Flamingo and it was eirily quiet all the way down ( although I did see one Spoonbill in flight on the way down and it was a very windy day.) At Payhayokee, where I always see at least a few wading birds, there were none. At Eco Pond, I was shocked to see how low the water level was as is apparent in the imbedded picture. Yes, I know this is the dry season and we have been under draught conditions over the past year but has anybody out there seen Eco Pond this low?
Despite, all the foregoing, however, there were plenty of the small birds and the high winds and low humidity helped make it a great weather day without mosquitoes. AND it sure beats being in the office.
