This afternoon after work we decided to change our plans of birding Matheson and went to Barnes instead. Traffic would have held us from getting to Matheson with enough time to bird.
At Barnes there were a few Warblers, the usual White Ibis by the lake, Osprey circling overhead, Coots trumpeting and cats in every area around the park. The woman that feeds the cats has now statrted to feed the cats in styrofoam bowls, we even found cat food inside the Nature trail by the boardwalk. We counted 5 cats inside the Nature Trail two by the boardwalk. Thoughout the park it must have been 20 or more cats.
Out of control!!!

We ran into Joel which had spied the park right before we arrived. He seemed to have a pics of a Pine, Magnolia, B&W Warbler and a Blue-headed Vireo. We ventured out into the trail and managed to find all the birds he shot besides the BH Vireo. Although birding was slow it was a cool & breezy day and it was nice to stroll the park with Mariel.

Nature is Awesome!
