Though I searched for 2.5 hours this morning and another 2.5 hours late this afternoon, I could not find anything that even closely resembled a Golden-cheeked Warbler at Six-Mile Cypress Slough Preserve in Ft. Myers. Angel and Mariel searched from late this morning to mid-afternoon, and came up empty as well.
As a consolation prize, I had nine Snowy Plovers and three American Oystercatchers along Ft. Myers Beach, south of the Holiday Inn.
