While trying out a new scope yesterday morning at Cutler Wetlands, I found that the Snow Goose had returned (or, perhaps it never left). Though mostly white, this one had a mottled appearance, suggesting it's an immature bird. It was in the far southeastern corner of the marsh.

In addition to the standard Northern Shovelers and Blue-winged Teal, Lesser Scaups were present. Also there were Roseate Spoonbills, Black-necked Stilts, American Avocets, and lots of White Pelicans. Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs were feeding together, providing a good opportunity to compare them.

At Black Point Park, a large American Crocodile was sunning itself and gaping photogenically in the shallows just west of the bridge.
