A belated thank you to Vince Lucas and the other members of TAS in Collier county for all the good tips on bird locations.This American oystercatcher was one of four on the islands between mainland and Sanibel. A first for me. (Solves the mystery too as to why they call them oystercatchers)

Although we didn't see wimbrels at Bungee beach it was a good location for them but the tide, people and gods of photography were not in our favor. But Bungee beach was loaded with many other peepers, skimmers by the hundreds, and one Forster's Tern that looked so funny standing among the skimmers....guess it wanted to grow up to be a skimmer.
