i think the population of these birds is exploding. i have been noticing pairs and small groups around central broward for the first time in the last six months or so. last wednesday, i had a flyover of at least 40 geese on sheridan st. heading into sunshine ranches. [ just east of i-75 ] it was the first time i've seen a large flock. there must be a lot more than we know of, because even just a few months back, there were only thought to be a handfull in northern broward. kurt d.
