Jody and I birded Green Cay Wetlands on Sunday. In six hours and two trips around the one-mile boardwalk we were able to identify 39 species. Even though we didn t add any new birds to our list, it was very enjoyable watching all the springtime activity. We spotted two Common Moorhen nests with chicks, and nine Roseate Spoonbills. Photography was a challenge with harsh shadows one minute, and an overcast sky the next.
