Hey All:
Carl Goodrich and I, along with a half-dozen other out-of-state birders, spent a few hours yesterday morning looking for the Ft. Lauderdale Bananaquit. No luck. Carl's theory is the cold front may have disrupted in.
If you do go be courteous be aware that one of the neighbors has put up a "NO LOITERING, NO BIRDWATCHER" sign and, if you stop in front of his house with a pair of binoculars in hand, will come out and confront you. (Joggers and dog walkers don't seem to bother him.) All the other neighbors where friendly. When we stood in front of other people's houses he didn't say anything, though he was giving people the hairy eyeball and is definitely spoiling for an incident.
