I assume that the bird I'll describe is a duck. I've seen it twice in Hollywood, Fl. outside of the Diplomat Golf course. It has been 'hanging out' with a group of muscovy ducks for about a month or so. I was able to get close enough to give you some description. It is basically a warm light brown or taupe color. Toward the back of the duck,I noticed a rather irridescent coppery color and a greenish long feather. It is a much taller (longer legs) than the muscovy and the legs are reddish, pink. He seems to have a red eye that has some white or greyish area around it. I can't seem to find a photo in my small bird book. I can't remember exactly where on the body, but there is a white patch of feathers. I wish I had a photo.
