A short trip to the Everglades today produced very few birds. I only went as far down to Pah-hee-okee Overlook. The following birds were seen:
Robert Is Here area-
Purple Martin
Common Myna
(Possible Shiny Cowbirds)
Loggerhead Shrike
Killdeer
American Kestrel
Flynn's- I thought it was too late in the year for flycatchers, but checked anyway:
2 Northern Flickers
Lucky Hammock-
2 Cardinals
1 Grasshopper Sparrow (lifer)
Catbirds
Many Indigo Buntings
The park itself-
American Redstarts
Black-and-white Warblers
Black-throated Blue Warbler (pointed out by someone)
Palm Warbler (have not seen one in a while)
Red-shouldered Hawk
Red-winged Blackbird
Great White Heron
Many birds singing beautifully in Gumbo Limbo Trail
