Spring migration in Florida, especially for trans-Gulf migrants, doesn't really kick in until April, usually with a peak in the second half of the month. Migration sometimes extends until mid to late May, mostly Blackpoll Warblers and American Redstarts. The third weekend in April is almost always productive at Ft. DeSoto, but it's very weather-dependent.
