Showtime at Okeeheelee once again produced painted buntings galore. At one time six females and one male joined by two cardinals, three catbirds, several dove and legions of quarelling squirrels. From 9:30 -11:00 is best time for viewing the buntings. They wont be here much longer. Also seen, an old timer--a gopher tortoise just doing its thing. Eating.

You may have seen buntings before, but if you want to photograph them, this is the place, better even than Corkscrew.
