Late this afternoon in a desperate effort to get a good bird of the day I took a break from work to go downstairs with Mariel to check out trees next to the lake for warblers. It was already sundown and most of the activity I heard yesterday had subsided, but with a little of encouragement (phishing) one lonely warbler called back next to the OE building. It was a familiar sound to both of us being that we spent so much time with them last fall. One lonely Black-throated Blue Warbler, but it was a nice one so there it was our Bird of the Day. First of the Season for us, seems like spring will be here sooner this year.
