Spot-breasted Oriole, a Central American species introduced to Florida in the late 1940's, is an uncommon year-round resident in suburban areas of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County. The bird you saw is likly a resident of your neighborhood. If it's found a source of food in your backyard, it will likely return.
