I have recently read that the sugar water you hang outside has to be changed every 2-3 days. Some sources say to change every week. Anyone heard anything different? I have been fortunate to have two hummers in my backyard. One is a male Ruby-throated and the other a immature male Ruby-throated. I get very prolonged close up looks of them. Their behavior is very interesting to observe. I can even see the nectar on the end of their bills. They also gyrate their head/neck especially after feeding in "Stevie Wonder" style. They stay perched as long as 20-25 min. after feeding.
