Hi Cory
We have seen the Red-wiskered Bulbul in the neighborhood near Baptist Hospital. Walk the area or drive looking from SW 88 st. to SW 84 st. between 84 ave and 89 ave. Look on the phone lines or in the palms in the area.
Short-tailed Hawk is seen pretty much through the county but best bet would be ENP, we have seen Short-tailed in the first couple of stops along the main park road.
Spot-breasted Oriole is usually found in the Baptist area as well but you may have better luck if you check the Miami Springs Fair Haven Nursing Home area. Park there and walk the neighborhood around the golf course and the nursing home. You can also find your White-winged Parakeet or Yellow-chevroned parakeet as well. Many Aritangas and Parrot species live in the area. Look for feeders at residents homes that attract anything from Orange-winged to Red-crowned parrots.
Smooth-billed Ani has been harder to find every year but the best location seems to be the 800 building off of Old Griffin Rd. search the TAS site with the google search bar for the the directions.
Shiny Cowbird has not been reported to often but down in Homestead seems to be your best chance.
Good Luck and Good Birding
Nature is Awesome
