While not really birding, I did see the following birds while hanging out by the lake at Univ. of Miami (Also saw a Crocodile -it was not an alligator).
White Ibis
Great Blue Heron
Snowy Egret
Great Egret
Green Heron
Coot
Moorhen
Ring-Billed Gull
Double-Crested Cormorant
Spotted Sandpiper (no spots yet)
Palm Warbler
Red-Bellied Woodpecker
