Red-capped Cardinal

While participating in the Plantation Shade Brigade Bird Walk at the Plantation Preserve (Linear Trail through the Plantation Preserve Golf Course)about 10 of us observed a Red-capped Cardinal (escapee most likely) just before 6pm. It was in some tall reeds close to the Peters Road end of the trail with many Red-winged Blackbirds. An American Bittern was also easily seen.
