Yesterday our pink friend (Greater Flamingo) decided to pay us another visit outside the visitor's center in Flamingo. Throughout the season he/she has been making appearances on the mudflat across from the breezeway, usually on cool windy days. BUT...yesterday was neither cold nor windy...there goes our theory! He/She also decided to find a new friend, now that most of his white pelican buddies have left him, and brought along a juvenile greater flamingo for the mudflat visit!
Once the tide got high they left, probably heading back to snake bight.
Lots of fun on a quiet day in Flamingo and also a great treat for visitors!
