A friend of mine, Jim Krakowski (krakowski@naples.net) was at A.D. Barnes last Saturday/Sunday and saw what he's certain was a Warbling Vireo. Here's what he had to say:

"The vireo at Barnes Park was not a Bell's Vireo, not even close. The Warbling Vireo we saw was much larger than a Bell's, no wing bars, larger bill, white eyebrow extending past the eye (without an upper border of black). The bird was drab, without noticeable yellow underneath. Its bill was heavier than any warbler. As I said before, we had an excellent view of the bird, within 25 feet, in and out of sunlight, on branches with few leaves, for at least 5 minutes."

I don't know exactly where at Barnes Jim saw the bird. I suppose one could e-mail him. . . .Has anyone else seen this bird?
