A western form (calurus), intermediate/dark juvenile Red-tailed Hawk was flying around South Miami this morning, including doing some kiting. The underside is darkly streaked and does not show a distinct belly band or patagial bars. I had observed what I believe to be the same bird earlier this week perched just southwest of today's sighting; however, I was in a car and in traffic and could not use bins.
