: Hello:
: I am looking for dependable viewing areas for Swallow-tailed Kite in W Broward or W Dade. A fellow birder from another country is going to bird with me and wants to observe this species without going all the way to Everglades or Corkscrew. Any plausable sites would be appreciated. We are going to Markham Park for Snail Kite and would like to try for Swallow-tailed Kite afterwords. Thanks for the info.

Swallow-tail Kites are nesting in the area of SW 148th Ave and Marvin Lane (one block south of Sterling Road) in Davie. You should be able to observe them on most days. I have seen as many as six at one time this year.
