I was with Ma and Mossy viewing one of the adult owls about 5 p.m. today. It was another lifer for Ma thanks to Joel Wilcox.

We then headed to the levee that surrounds the Loxahatchee. We broke out our warm, homemade Louisiana bread pudding with Amaretto sauce and hot coffee with heavy cream and watched the evening "fly in" as the sun set.

I was hoping for snail kites for Ma, since they would be a lifer for her. We got three kites plus a few hundred waders in the sunset. It was simply stunning.

Anyone who would like the bread pudding recipe can email me privately.
