It was a great "shoot" at Green Cay this morning. Ellie's picture above tells the tale...just a couple of little guys hoping to grow up. I was impressed at the number of times the parents left them unattended. It is certainly no wonder that 3 of 5 are gone. The Northern Harrier was present about 500 yards away but made no attack this morning.

As we left at 10:00 robins came down by the score. Two large flocks descended, fed, watered, bathed and then lifted off heading north. As tourists flocked into Green Cay they were singularly unimpressed at how excited we were to see robins and photograph them. They suggested we take pictures of the alligators.

We didn't have the heart to tell them that we eat alligator tail. With honey mustard.

The baby limpkins have hatched at the second nest and are now out.

And someone obtained a picture of a coyote at Green Cay. If that don't beat all! What's this water recycle plant coming to?
