My stepmom and my father went on a trip to Italy last week to experience the country and Europe. They are not birders, but they said they would look for birds and take pictures of them for me. Even though Italy is not known for it's birds, they are certainatly different from our birds. Armed with my "Collins Nature Guide for birds of Britain and Europe", they spotted some neat birds. Here is they list. For some reason, some of the birds in the bird guides only have one part of the name down e.i. Swift should actually be a whole name as there are many other swifts in the world.

4/1
Little Egret
European Starling
Black-billed Magpie
Greenfinch
Swift

4/2
Eurasian Blackbird
4/3
House Sparrow (Italian race)
Mallard Duck
PIED WAGTAIL
Least Tern
Eurasian Kestrel
Black-headed Gull
Rock Dove
4/4
Buzzard
Eurasian Collard Dove
Woodpigeon
WRYNECK
SPOTTED FLYCATCHER

There are some other birds, such as corvid species which could be jackdaws, crows, rooks, or ravens. I will research it, and hopefully get them some new birds. These birds have been added to my stepmoms lifelist, and she will now have some birds I do not have...for now.
