A friend of mine is a stargazer. He had his telescope out last night about 3AM. He spotted 2 formations of large white birds flying south east. He knows they are not canada geese. He estimates them about a mile high and feels if they were on the ground they must have a wingspan of 2-3 feet. He said there were probably 20 or so birds. This is not the first time he has spotted them, and say's each time it was a cool, clear night. They are large, white birds. He was unable to see much detail except he so no rings on the neck like the canadian geese. Does anyone have any idea of what these could possibly be?
