Drove south from Palm Beach County on Saturday, to tour some Dade Co. hotspots that have been on my 'to-do' list. Baptist Hospital area wasn't very productive, but the Kenwood Elementary planting site had several warblers--ovenbird, palm, black-throated blue, no. parula as well at gnatcatchers and ruby throat. Matheson Hammock was very birdy in the picnic area with the previously mentioned birds, red-bellies and great crested flycatcher. It was late in the day when I hit AD Barnes--the place was lousy with yellow-rumps. My last visit was Miami Springs for great views of 5 different parrot species. It was a fun trip, but the traffic was brutal--and I'm from New Jersey, which makes me somewhat of an expert.
Off Topic Question--my bins are spotty and filthy. Any suggestions on where I should have them cleaned and serviced?
