Hi All,
I like the Sibley/Eastern a lot, but find the indexing less easy to use than, say, Kaufmann or Nat. Geo. So I have made up an index, laminated it at Kinko's, and taped it onto the end flaps of the book; for me this makes the book much more useable as an actual field guide. If anyone is interested, send me an email and I'll attach the index in a reply. The entries are sometimes odd for So. FL--e.g., "pine grosbeak"--because I spend time in Maine; but the thing is easily modifiable to suit your preferences.
take care, jw
