Despite the fierce winds, we spied a few of the shyer birds this morning - Bittern and Sora. No sign of the Spoonbills and relatively quiet overall. No wigeon or gadwall or BBWD or any of the interesting recent visitors. The water levels have been restored, so I am looking forward to better days, and the arrival of the Purple Martins!
