I was birding today with four birders from out of town, we were looking for all of the cool specialties. We did pretty good on all of the specialties missing a couple of birds.
I have had Shiny Cowbirds sporadically at my feeders for the last week, David Simpson and company had a male today near my house. I tried this afternoon for them but we could not find one. While watching my feeders, W.D. said "whats that bird with the yellow on the front"? Before we could get on it it flew into the bushes. A few minutes later Bryan saw the bird and called out Dickcissel! A new yard bird for me!! If any one is interested in seeing it send me an e-mail.
