I was in the upper area of the park on Saturday morning. In addition to the birds mentioned by Bryant (except that I dipped again on the Brown-crested Flycatcher), I had Screech, Barred and Short-eared Owls, White-tailed Kite, and Lesser Nighthawk along Research Rd, out to the missile site, all before 0715. The Hidden Lake road had an American Robin and a very vocal Ruby-crowned Kinglet. At the Gate 15 mound (Mount Everglades?)there was also a calling Least Bittern and a Caspian Tern.
I have to echo Bryant's observation that there seemed to be little warbler/vireo activity, and in fact most passerine activity seemed over by about 10:00 am. Buntings seem unusually scarce this winter: they were very low on most area CBCs, and both species were completely missed on the Kendall count.
