Advice for the future from Officer Delgado: Do not destroy or remove evidence from the scene. Should you see a trapper cage in the grasses, call the FWC to report the 'sighting.' Someone will go there and, hopefully, witness the criminal act, which can then be prosecuted. He urged extreme caution and stressed the danger.
