My feeder stays filled with Black Oil Sunflower seeds. All the birds that visit prefer those over anything else we've put out. The cardinal was making it's familiar call. Haven't heard that down here in a long time. Sure hope he returns.
My dad lives in the Atlanta area. For several years he's had a group of 6 to 8 cardinals that frequently visit his feeder right before dark. Guess they're filling up for the night. They must be a family group as there are adults and juveniles
