After Brian posted the sighting of a Nashville warbler during the CBC at UM, I knew that it was only a matter of time before I found my regular wintering Nashville warbler in the yard.
Today was the day. This afternoon I had a large active & mixed flock which along with the Nashville included Prarie, Black & White, Northern Parula, Blacktroated Green, and multiple Blue-gray Gnatcatchers.
A Red-tailed hawk flew low over the oak but the flock only paused briefly then continued their feeding frenzy.
This makes 5 straight years of having a Nashville visit my yard. I will need to learn a good ole country tune to pick on my new guitar to celebrate the annual event. Yes, Paul in honor of the above I enjoyed a very cool Red-tail Ale as well.
Life is good
Joe
