American Crocodile and Scissor-tailed Flycatchers

This American Crocodile looks like it may have been in a fight with a fisherman. Look at the three large gashes on the poor reptiles face, ouch!! Perhaps a steel leader caused those gashes? My guess is that it could have been in a death roll while hooked? Oh well, they are very tough animals so a few little gashes could not hurt too much.

There were 12 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers at s.w. 312 st. and s.w. 314 ave. at 4:00 this afternoon on the electric wires. We did not see any Western Kingbirds.
