Oops... I meant to write short-billed dowitchers under Marco Island, sorry about that.

I drove through Clewiston on US 27, and at the east end of the city I followed a sign from the highway that said "Okeechobee lake trail". I parked in the parking area and walked up to the trail. On the other side were a few picnic areas with a couple trees, there were some boat-tailed grackles and ring-billed gulls hanging out there, along with the bronzed cowbirds up in one of the trees.
