The Great Cormorant was at its usual station on the Port Everglades channel marker # 5 off the north end of J. U. Lloyd State Park when I arrived there at about 4:15 this afternoon. It slipped away while I was scoping the jetties at around 4:45.
I saw my FOTS Cedar Waxwings at the Long Key Natural Area this morning. A couple of fenced trails have been open for some time and the opening of the rest of the facility is scheduled for late February or March.
