Visited the Hillsboro Pineland Natural Area yesterday - 441 N of Hillsboro, E side of 441 - THOUSANDS of butterflies and moths, numerous warblers, gorgeous M A Kestrel seen in a few minutes. It is a "new" rewatered area, with a lot of potential as it returns to its former wet prairie conditions. Looks like fantatic owl habitat, too, and is close to areas where I have rescued Screech Owls before.
