Looks like a barred owl to me. There are no "ear horns" on the sides to make it a great horned.
If you can hear them "hoot," they have a very disctinctive hoot.
You should join us on some of the spring time bird walks, you can really learn alot about IDing birds.
And it's a great group of people to be with , besides!
