I am a half block from Heritage Park in Plantation. My feeders recently have been pretty dead. I have "my" painted buntings and wintering hummers, but the Spot Breasted Orioles and cardinals have not surfaced recently.
I thought it might be due to the mockingbird who has become territorial (any ideas how to stop its raids on other birds greatly appreciated) or the hawk that has been dive bombing at times, but I am starting to think it is something else.
Things are very, very quiet.
